theforbiddennerd asked: Hey thanks for the answer, aha I see the confusion, but thoughts on the possibility of Bartamelo(barrier barrier guy) as a crew member? Im seeing it with the whole straw hats number one fan thing. And his supposed crew is barely established. He seems like the guy who would drop it no problem if opportunity came to join the straw hats
Now that you mention it, theoretically I think it could work. That being said, I’m not sure if I would like that more than him staying as he is now, an adoring fan on the side-lines. He’s a character with enough personality to carry his own crew. He hasn’t had much interaction with them to hint at it really, but it’ll be interesting to see how he reacts to the latest chapter’s happenings and who he’ll side with.
Anonymous asked: Heya, thanks for answering my question about Sabo. So there was no chapter yet of Sabo showing up as alive an well? A friend told me about a chapter where he showed up finally and was sitting in front of Ace's grave drinking sake.
Chapter 668 cover page is a picture of 3 sake cups and a bottle lying on top of a crate in front of Ace’s grave, which also has pinned to it the newspaper article of the Straw Hats’ return. A lot of people speculate that Sabo visited Ace’s grave and place all those items there.
Anonymous asked: I don't recall Oda blatantly said Luffy was asexual, he basically said Luffy isn't interested in romance. Which isn't a bad thing, but isn't it safe to say his sexuality is unknown? I mean, he had a nosebleed when he was peeping at Nami
I guess it’s a tiny bit open to interpretation. Oda stated that Luffy only takes part in the standard ecchi gags when Usopp’s there to be a perverted influence and doesn’t if his friends aren’t around. I would think even joining in on any kind of perverted fun requires a modicum of personal sexuality, but I think the main point is that there isn’t really a point in predicting any legitimate romantic entanglements amongst the main cast because they won’t happen in the span of the series.
medicpoet asked: Who is the father of makino's baby?
Going off of Oda saying, “Probably that person” means picking from a roster of actually named characters, which mainly points to Shanks. But from a technical viewpoint, to think that he went back to Foosha Village in midst of a rampant new era of pirates… to impregnate Makino is… a funny thought, haha.
Maybe someone in Shanks’s crew.
alexisactuallyapirate asked: Some one asked about Luffy's virginity earlier, Oda has said in an interview that Luffy is Asexual so I think it's safe to assume he's a virgin. :P
Yeah, that too.
badsenpai asked: When I said like coby, I meant like his abilities, I made a grammatical mistake
Still not sure what you’re asking by “created a new character” instead of “a character we’ve already seen to be the next strawhat.” Oda introduces new characters every arc (like Monet, Kine’mon, Baby 5, etc.), and readers immediately add them to the ongoing debate of who’s going to be the next member. Kine’mon specifically, even though he has a devil fruit ability, I think you can pretty much consider him a strong human because his ability isn’t really combat-oriented and the bad-ass can cut fire with his sword of his own skill. Besides, more than half of the crew are already non-devil fruit users, so it’s pretty impressive how independent the crew is of the series’s signature “power.”
Anonymous asked: wait, why are you talking about kuma on that bartolomeo ask??
Oh, I misread it as Bartholomew, haha
badsenpai asked: I think it'd be nice if instead of picking up a character we've already seen to be the next strawhat, they created a new character, maybe someone like coby, just a strong human.
How do you mean by new character? If anything, Coby is most opposite of new, seeing as he was in episode/chapter one?
Anonymous asked: Do you think Luffy is still a virgin? Its a weird question but it'd be kinda funny to see how that'd turn out. Lol(:
Most likely, but in the convention of shonen series it’s probably never even going to be alluded to. The most likely possibility of Oda implying Luffy has had sex is an epilogue or something in which it shows his children with whoever.
theforbiddennerd asked: Thoughts on bartamleo or baby 5 as possible crew members???
In terms of happenstance, I’d say Kuma has more a likely chance but it’s still pretty low for both.
In terms of preference, I’m not too sure, Kuma is actually one of my favorite non-main characters. But Baby 5 hit a chord for me the moment she debuted too! Oda would have to offer a pretty deep backstory for her, with an explanation of why she’s working for Doflamingo. If her loyalty is in the same vein as Monet’s, I don’t think that would work, haha. She’d be a riot with Sanji and it’d be super nice to have another female character. Though her devil fruit ability strikes me as something belonging to a completely side-lined character and not fitting enough for the Straw Hats, especially considering how Franky has the artillery department covered.
Also, Kuma’s devil fruit is one of my favs too.
ikuzo-dattebayo asked: I thought about this earlier: How sexy and epic would it be if we got to see Gol D. Roger, Whitebeard, and Rayleigh team up and own everyone? I'd fanboy harder than Diamond Jozu
The world wouldn’t be able to handle it. Imagine if that Whitebeard vs Shanks fight actually went down
Anonymous asked: who do you think is stronger: brooke or franky?
Me thinks Franky
Anonymous asked: actually its possible for zoro to still have depth perception, some people have their depth in the same eye as their dominant hand (though usually its the opposite)
Huh, interesting. I’m no expert on visual ability (or anything really) but I thought it was just straight up impossible to have depth perception without binocular vision? (Off-topic much though, haha)
